5 S

Using 5-S as a launch pad

APICL has adopted the process of total employee involvement to improve the levels of quality and productivity. This process had to start with focused improvements in the work practices and in the workplace. We believe in the use of visual management to make the factory a place where information flows freely and in all directions. Using the concept of 5-S, goals and progress are monitored and being made visible. Awareness levels and the importance of a neat, clean workplace were stressed upon and a culture based on an organized workplace was achieved by workplace meetings and enhancing the levels of communication.
