The design uses colour ingeniously, such that it doesn’t disrupt the space or feel overpowering. Light wood, grey and white ensure a canvas that is orderly; the neutrals are offset by bright yellow alongside deep shades of orange and blue.
Ardee School has little open space in its surroundings making the inside courtyard a key feature. The courtyard wall is clad with greens and punctured with scattered windows. Vibrant frames coloured in Enamel paint bring in a sense of play.
For Ardee School in Delhi, the architects at SpaceMatters had to convert a vacant 4-storeyed structure into a ‘world-class’ school within a matter of a few months.
The use of white paint in the interior walls coupled with light wooden furniture ensures that the users, the students, stay undisturbed. The lime green accents add a pop of freshness without being distracting.
The interior design incorporates as much greenery inside the school’s complex as possible. In the cafeteria, plants are stacked against walls. While they don’t hinder movement or activity, they simultaneously accessorise the space.
