Passion Flower

Passion Flower becomes ColourNext’s Colour of the Year 2018, setting the tone for a warm, open ambience to attract positive sparks through the year.

Unrest, the current norm

Earthy tones of Amber seem to calm us down, making us open to shedding our inhibition of self-discovery.

The brilliance of Amber and soft hues of Mustard

It would be interesting to see how this subconsciously appealing colour mainfests itself in our spaces, designs and lifestyle in 2018.

ColourNext 2018: Amber, Mustard and some Introspection through Passion Flower, Asian Paints Colour of The Year

Asian Paints’ annual forecast ColourNext, launched in 2003, has become a trustworthy forecast that informs design practices on future trends from around the country, by collaborating with some of the country’s finest minds. Its 18th edition interprets our trending aspirational behaviour across the digital, public and personal spaces, recreating them as moods that will soon find themselves in our spaces.

Observing the impact of consumer behaviour on colour and décor choices, ColourNext18 responds with Passion Flower as the Colour of the Year.

Passion Flower

Last year’s Intense Ocean fades out, as Passion Flower becomes ColourNext’s Colour of the Year 2018, setting the tone for a warm, open ambience to attract positive sparks through the year. Unrest being the current norm, earthy tones of Amber seem to calm us down, making us open to shedding our inhibition of self-discovery. Sensing an urgent need to rediscover, reach out, connect & be heard amidst all the din surrounding us, warm and illuminating Amber and its various hues make us receptive to evolve and grow with clarity and a high sense of self worth. Thus, the brilliance of Amber and soft hues of Mustard help radiate our introspections into our living spaces. It would be interesting to see how this subconsciously appealing colour mainfests itself in our spaces, designs and lifestyle in 2018.
