Dhaval Patel’s residence, designed by Urban Sense Architects, is a playground of colours, textures and patterns. While the living room is washed in subtle shades of grey, the master bedroom is vivid. The room is designed to the theme of playing cards – its most arresting feature being the artwork of King of Spades against black Italian marble. The home takes a different turn, yet again, in the children’s bedroom with shades of yellow and teal livening up the space for its young occupants.

Play of geometric patterns and unique motifs

The space plays with geometries, patterns and motifs. The wooden surfaces are polished with WoodTech PU Emporio for a deep luxurious brown. The master bedroom is designed to the theme of playing cards, its most arresting feature – the artwork of King of Spades against black Italian marble.

The spade is used as a door-knob, on the legs of the bed and the side-tables. The grey finish of the wall has been created using Royale Play Archi Concrete, a perfect canvas for the artwork.

The living room is washed in shades of grey. Its interior wall finishes are bare, with minimal furniture and accessories. The furniture and floor patterns deploy geometric forms to adhere to the minimalist scheme of the living room.

The geometries are in full play with a corrugated feature wall in tandem with the television console. The wooden beam compliments the white and grey composition accentuated with the ceiling lights.

Wood and marble intermingle amicably for a restroom that is fun and fascinating. While the textures of marble against rich woods are rightfully alluring, the use of geometric patterns on the cabinet and ceiling underline the décor with panache.

The grey textured wall created using Asian Paints Royale Play Teodorico becomes the focal point of the room and the mirrored wardrobe shutters do a splendid job of doubling the space. Orange and teal hanging lights charmingly liven up the space.

The master bedroom is themed on playing cards – specifically the ‘spade’. Used as an accessory throughout the room, the pattern is also repeated on the curtains. The spade livens up the bedroom that is dressed in shades of grey and gold.

The kids’ room is donned in playful orange and teal. The mirrored cabinet expands the space, and the grey wall stands as the perfect backdrop.
