“The client envisioned a space that was simple and appealing. A modern clean line concept which would be cost efficient and easy to maintain, was suggested. The one thing they did not want to compromise on was the quality and size of the rooms. Keeping in mind the grandness of the space, we designed an inviting and soulful house.” The floating roof structure of the house ensures that it is not bound by any boundaries and that there is a visual connectivity maintained throughout the space.

Architect Amit Arora explains how he balanced his vision with the client’s brief, “The task to deliver a good design beyond the client’s expectation was the primary driving factor of this project. We always wanted a voluminous structure that syncs well with the exteriors maintaining a clear line of privacy. White & grey hues mixed with the use of natural materials lends a modern contemporary theme to the house and simultaneously, keeps you grounded.”

The entrance is imbued with elegance and refined finishes. The home welcomes you with a seating area that features a breath-taking mural of Radha-Krishna carved out of one single marble. AA says, “The entrance of the home is the perfect place to define your style. The Archi Concrete and Fusso from Asian Paints’ Designer Collection forms the perfect backdrop for this handmade creation. The metallic gold of the Fusso dreamily fuses with Lord Krishna’s brass flute which elevates the entire space.”

“The living room of a residence should look spacious and not cluttered as it occupies the maximum volume of the entire house. This is why it becomes important to choose the right colours and textures for each wall of this space. Asian Paints’ Grey Stucco Paint used as the backdrop of the white marble LCD panel literally binds all the other elements of the room giving it a design contrast and creating a base palette that is urbane & classic”, quips Amit when asked about an Asian Paints product that created an impact.
