When the elements of nature are relayed into a home with a contemporary design, it becomes The Waterfall House, a modern rendition of an urban sanctuary. The Space Race Architects drew inspiration from the meditative forces of nature and created this Vastu Shastra compliant sublime dwelling space for the Vashisht family in Jalandhar, Punjab.

When you approach the residence, the sound of falling water fills your ears with serene calmness that automatically converts into a positive vigor. The Waterfall House, as the name suggests, features dual waterfalls that mark the two entrances into the house. It is the prominent feature of this exquisite abode that allows the emotion of love and good vibes to flow along with the premises gracefully and at ease.

As you retreat to the inner spaces of the Waterfall House, you will see that the exterior stone cladding continues to adorn the interior spaces, as well, connecting and filling the void between the two areas. The outdoor and indoor spaces are distributed well in all areas of the house. The landscape courts feature equally along the alignment of the premises. They are the natural forces of this urbane home that allow fresh air and natural light to wade through every corner of the house in an unobstructed manner.

Since it inculcates an open floor plan, the clever separators like the staircase, lifts, and wooden separators in the form of the aesthetic elements of the house display an eye for detail by the Space Race Architects.

Upon drawing inspiration from the rocky landscape and the snow-capped mountains of Himalayas, the stunning exterior façade comprises a natural stone finish in a selection of a dark colour palette to make it appear like a rocky cave.

The shoe change area highlights the elegant woodwork emanating from the furniture, door and the wall even. A stag’s antler against the pale grey enhances the visual approach of the area.

With an open floor plan, the staircase and the lift subtly separate the formal and informal spaces of the home. The wooden false ceiling encrusted with the filament glass bulbs enhances the décor and fills up the place with ambient lighting.

The wooden wall separator is utilized in place of a wall to bifurcate between the prayer room and the study. This feature allows infusing natural light into space by allowing it to pass through and light up the room during the day.
