An intimate yet modern space created for a luxurious experience. Architect Rachna walks us through her latest project in Powai that gives you dawn to dusk vibe with the interior. “The client had a clear vision in mind, we want to experience luxury at the comfort of our home”, says Ar. Rachna.

Articulation of spaces

Carefully articulated volumes give rise to intriguing spatial dynamics within. The seamlessly connected living room and dining area add a sense of fluidity.  “In the formal living room, the Eggshell colour from Asian Paints has the monotony that transcends beautifully towards the dining area which has a pop of Liqueur Brown from Asian Paints”, adds the architect. To break the monotony of the rustic yet warm vibe, the architect had added a pop of colour with the Turquoise chairs.

Articulation of spaces

A multipurpose gathering area
This transitions into a multipurpose gathering area that then opens out into the house. Across the formal living room, beyond the foyer, lies the dining area, which has an exquisite dining table that depicts luxury through the marble finish. Adjacent to the dining area is the spectacular all-white kitchen with a hint of gold. Architect Rachna mentions how her all-time favourite colour Liqueur Brown from Asian Paints played a major role in decorating this luxurious home.

A modern approach to the decor
Architect Rachna explains how the decor pieces came together to create a rustic yet luxurious space. “The handcrafted coffee table is the centrepiece of the house. It was specially crafted at the sawmill and designed for this space”, adds Rachna. She also mentions how the entire house had voice commands to access the electronics.

A touch of Asian Paints in every corner
Since the architect had made use of Asian Paints throughout the house, we asked her about her experience with Asian Paints and its colours, to which she mentioned, “The colour palette at Asian Paints is a great thought starter to draw inspiration from for various of my projects”. She also amplified on the fact - during the time of the second lockdown, the team at Asian Paints was very co-operative in terms of providing the colours and the applicator”.
