LEAP is a programme designed to build future leaders at Asian Paints. This is a demanding 4 to 6-month induction for the brightest minds in the country who join Asian Paints as “Management/Executive Trainees”. There is overall exposure across functions, unearthing inter-linkages and discovering opportunities for collaboration. There is an in-depth immersion into all facets in one own’s function – be it appreciating the challenges of how a sales officer works, or night shifts at the shop-floor.
LEAP is a balance of learning by observation and experience, by asking questions to colleagues, by curated classroom inputs and learning from the leadership team. All of this, served with a generous dollop of fun, where one unwinds and connects with people who become lifetime friends. And of course, there are enough grueling reviews which ensure that learning never stops.
With higher levels of automation at each upcoming manufacturing location at Asian Paints, the GET-SET-GO program is designed to build engineering capability for the future. It is a rigorous 5-month long induction programme, designed to ensure that engineer trainees are provided the right exposure at the beginning of their careers. Every GET undergoes a multi-functional training across three streams of engineering i.e. electrical, mechanical & instrumentation. They get exposure to flexible and highly automated manufacturing facilities before getting deployed to their final locations. GET-SET-GO is a blend of technical knowledge, working along with people, live project work and job shadowing to smoothen out the campus-to-corporate path. All this is combined with rigorous reviews and lots of fun with GETs moving across the country for their stints and interactions with a wide variety of people.
