SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme can be used for interior walls and masonry surfaces at plaster level.

The following steps need to be followed for applying SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme:

1. Surface Preparation: The surface under treatment should be firm and strong, clean and free from oil or any loosely held plaster/powder. For weak and crumbling surfaces replastering is recommended. The masonry surface should be fully cured prior to application.

2. For existing efflorescence surfaces: Remove existing efflorescence using efflorescence cleaner or by wire brushing till plaster level. Remove existing putty till plaster level from skirting till affected area covering 1 feet extra area. Post that apply 2 coats of SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme with a forced coverage of 20 sq. ft/litre for 2 coats with the help of a brush. First coat should be with 10% dilution with water and second coat should be undiluted. Between 2 coats, allow a drying time of 6 to 8 hours.

3. For surfaces in good condition without efflorescence: Remove existing putty till plaster level from skirting till affected area covering 1 feet extra area. Post that apply 1 coat of SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme with a forced coverage of 35-40 sq. ft/litre. Allow it to dry for 6 to 8 hours.

4. Putty Application: Post application of SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme, we need to apply 2 coats of Asian Paints TruCare Wall Putty or Asian Paints TruCare Acrylic Wall Putty or Asian Paints SmartCare Waterproof Putty. Please note that putty application is mandatory post application of Hydroloc Xtreme.

5. Primer & Top Coat Application: Post Putty application, we can go for primer and top coat application as per recommended painting process.

The following are the precautions for SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme:

- Putty application over SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme is mandatory.

- SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme is not to be used with hand-made putty or Lambi putty.

- Smartcare Hydroloc Xtreme is not designed for application over excessive dampness (moisture level above 90%) or in live leakage scenarios.

- Do not apply primer or topcoat directly over Smartcare Hydroloc Xtreme.

Yes, it is a forced coverage of 20 sq ft/litre for 2 coats. For surfaces where there is no dampness and efflorescence, 1 coat needs to be applied at a forced coverage of 35-40 sq.ft/litre.

The shelf life of SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme is 24 months.

SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme is available in packs of 1 ltr, 4 ltrs and 10 ltrs.

SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme offers a 5-year warranty at plaster level on both dampness and efflorescence.

The recommended areas of application for SmartCare Damp Proof are:

1) All exterior masonary surfaces susceptible to water ingress.

2) Building roofs/terraces, parapet, sunshades and exterior vertical walls.

3) Damp Proof can be applied on existing IPS, sound brick-bat coba or cementatious waterproofing.

The coverage of SmartCare Damp Proof for horizontal areas is 10 square feet per litre, and for vertical walls is 20-25 square feet per litre.

The SmartCare Damp Proof is available in 1, 4, 10 and 20  litre packs.

There are a few precautions to be taken while applying SmartCare Damp Proof:

1) Do not apply SmartCare Damp Proof during rains or extreme temperatures.

2) Avoid abuses which may lead to puncturing of membrane.

3) Ensure that SmartCare Damp Proof is applied at least 6 inch inside the drain pipe.

4) For best results, apply parapet to parapet to envelope the entire building.

SmartCare Damp Proof is available in a ready-to-use viscous liquid.

The SmartCare Damp Proof can be kept open for upto 2 hours.

If properly closed, and kept away from frost and humidity, the shelf-life of SmartCare Damp Proof is 36 months.

The application procedure of SmartCare Damp Proof for Horizontal areas is comprised of 5 steps:

1) Clean the surface and ensure that it is free of oil, grease and loose dust particles. It is recommended to use intense wire-brushing or high-speed water jet.

2) The substrate must be checked for its soundness using a small hammer. All cracks and damaged portions of up to 3 mm should be treated with SmartCare Crack Seal.

3) Apply a self priming coat of SmartCare Damp Proof (diluted with water in 3:1 ratio).

4) Apply two perpendicular coats of SmartCare Damp Proof without dilution. While the material is wet insert a SmartCare Joint Tapes in all corners and joints. Achieve a forced coverage of 10 square feet per litre for the system.

5) Allow to dry for 4-6 hours between coats.

Yes, apply SmartCare Terrace Tile Primer before Damp Proof application.

SmartCare Damp Proof comes with Triple Flex-Armour Layer which is a fibre reinforced elastomeric membrane. It forms 3 layers, which are highly flexible and strong, on the surface, thus preventing cracks and water seepage.
