Designed by Usine Studio, this house is home to Prapti Mehta, a classical folk singer, a sitar player and an ethnic wear designer. The space is as eclectic as Prapti’s personality. The colour palette is vibrant. A variety of finishes such as Royale Play, Nilaya Wallpapers, Royale Luxury Emulsion and WoodTech products adorn the house. The colour scheme differentiates areas while elements like an arched wall, wooden ceilings, earthen wall art and paintings act as accents.
The use of colour and pattern here shows play and pizzaz as the background and foreground reverse roles. Terracotta red in Royale Luxury Emulsion stands its ground as the black-and-white pattern flows in zigzags across the stone floor.
Royale Play Stucco in pale green on the walls imparts a soft ambience that highlights the finer details of the ceiling and walls. The wooden console finished in Asian Paints WoodTech PU Palette sits majestic, as a burst of colour finished in matte.
The living-room is a daring blend of modern and traditional aesthetics. The walls have an Indian appeal while the furniture is contemporary, with rich upholstery in solid colours. This unique warm golden glow is achieved using Royale Play Dune.
Washed in shades of grey and earthy browns, this residence is a playground of materials, textures and patterns.
