The royal state of Rajasthan injects a sense of aesthetic and luxury in your soul. Established in the vibrant city of Jaipur, Kota Kachori is a distinctive concept snack store that completely changes your perception of a conventional ‘namkeen ki dukaan’. From a marvellously bright façade with glass windows to the intricate wooden carvings, Dreamcatcherzz magnificently captured the sublime beauty of the state while designing this unprecedented eatery.

Melange of palatial glamour & modern functionalism.

With an idea to break the stereotype - ‘mithai aur namkeen ki dukaan’ and create a space where customers relish traditional Rajasthani delicacies while understanding their rich history, Dreamcatcherzz brought in majestic luxury with functionality. You are welcomed with a whiff of irresistible snacks that can be ordered over the counter. The counters stood out with their hand-carved wooden detailing that shouts regal opulence.

When a customer enters a mithai store, he/she is anticipating a conventional space where they can place their order, pick it up and leave. We broke this stereotype with our conceptually designed store. From high-rise tables where customers stood and relished the freshly cooked Rajasthani snacks, an all-display menu just like an international fast-food chain to an open-to-all LIVE jalebi and kachori counter, we were all set to surprise the customers with an unforgettable experience.

We had our hearts set on Asian Paints as soon as we narrowed down upon the ambience of the store. Their extensive range of wallpapers and myriad of colour options made for the perfect palette. The convenience of a relationship manager appointed by the brand helped co-ordinate better and was the primary reason why we could complete the project remotely from Mumbai. The easy communication and flawless execution by their experts were acknowledged by the client too.

The one-of-a-kind concept snack store met the client’s business objective, which was to win customers’ hearts not only by ruling over their palate but also to leave them with an unforgettable experience. The client brief was simple – create something unique, functional and easy to maintain. We realized that the brand had made a name for itself; however, it lacked the design aesthetic and in-store experience that could work as an excellent brand recall for their current customers.

We have used Asian Paints products at several sites and trust the products and their quality. Right from easy applications to the after-sales service, Asian Paints made execution stress-free.

To maximize the height of the store, we broke the false ceiling, painted the exposed metal beams with Asian Paints’ matte black and covered the open spaces with Nilaya’s Sabyasachi Wallcoverings. The cluster of framed block-printed wallpaper on the ceiling paid an ode to the ancient and revered art of Jaipur.

Space constraint was our biggest challenge when we executed our dream of lending a regal experience to the customer. We also had to make the client believe in our idea of selling basic snacks in an aesthetically appealing store.

Every corner of the concept store expressed a story of Jaipur’s palaces. Right from the hand-cut coloured glasses of the façade, the vintage wood carved counters to the Asian Paints’ royal grey walls.

The hero wall covered with Nilaya’s Good Earth Wallcoverings, it’s mini jharokhas with brass artefacts and Ghevar boxes inspired by Jaipur’s blue pottery were our favourites. The statement wall looked like a hand-painted marvel.
