The capacious home was designed by noted firm Rishit Shroff Architects, who have been in the business of creating inimitable designs for homes, office spaces, hospitals, and commercial establishments. The premise for the residence was unambiguous yet exacting – how is one to ensure a house maintains equipoise between avant-garde design and traditionalistic Vastu elements? Rishit Shroff rose to the occasion magnificently. The result – the onlooker’s Garden of Eden.

Swapnakunj stands imposing, regardless of when and how you soak it in. The predominant accent is the elevation of the entrance, marked by gargantuan proportions and a contrasting subtlety in the metallic latticed mural suspended from it. An interplay of depths, shapes, and design creates a sense of bewilderment and inquisitiveness. Forestalling these contradictions immediately is a perfectly compensated, manicured lawn that assuages the mind.

The small mat of grass infuses colour and braids in the element of greenery into this corner well. The use of Asian Paints Melamine Polish and Apex Ultima Paint only embellishes the play of light.

The gradual incline, accentuated by the use of teak in a louvre-styled staircase created with Woodtech Aquadur PU adds to the latticed finish of the house. The use of teak beams as supports reinforces the recurring Arcadian theme.

The bathrooms have been fashioned with as much judiciousness as the rest of the house. A sense of perpetuation is attained with the use of lustrous Italian marble. A seamless cohesion is achieved through the living areas, into the bedrooms, and finally into the facilities.
