The way in which the diverse ethos and the rich history come together in this metropolis is what instantly attracts you to it. So, it comes as no surprise when we learn that residents have a keen interest in the designing aspect of their dwelling as each of them have an eye for detail.

CeeBee Design Studio weaves a novel design story inside this European style abode.

When the team at CeeBee design studio visited this apartment for inspection before the client moved in, it was a complete mess. The apartment is unrecognizable with its spiffy new makeover which was the result of several brainstorming sessions between the team and the client, some roadblocks in terms of constructional restraints but all in all, the country chic dwelling is luxe, functional and warm.

When the team at CeeBee design studio visited this apartment for inspection before the client moved in, it was a complete mess. The apartment is unrecognizable with its spiffy new makeover which was the result of several brainstorming sessions between the team and the client, some roadblocks in terms of constructional restraints but all in all, the country chic dwelling is luxe, functional and warm. Interweaving the ruggedness of distressed furniture & beautiful art work, the house narrates a story of its own.

“The home is customized as per the liking of the residents – a young couple and their little daughter”, explains Chitralekha. As soon as you set foot into the house, you realize that it is an art lover’s paradise as each corner of the apartment is adorned with paintings that make it lively and vibrant. The master bedroom seen here features wood finish flooring that sets a warm and welcoming vibe. The headboard and the wardrobe doors are all handmade by local artisans and showcase the traditional and classic combination of wood and wicker.

“Even though we faced space issues, the team managed to fit in an informal as well as formal seating area in the living room. The apartment overlooks the lake and we did not want to steal away this highlight. This is why as soon as you enter, you can directly see the open balcony and the breath-taking view,” points out Chitralekha. The impressive dining area is a typical European style space with mismatched upholstery and a beautiful hand-made painting that adorns the entire ceiling.

“The unfinished look of the wall in the formal seating area with the artefacts collected and handpicked by the client lend the living room a breath of fresh air. Most of the furniture in the house is restored and upcycled”, says Chitralekha. The tufted beige upholstery of the couch and the perfect placing of green foliage around the space helps create the ideal place to have conversations after a long day at work.
