How To Spruce Up Your Wash Station (DIY)
White is elegant and timeless but sometimes you just want to spruce things up a little bit! A pop of colour and fun patterns can completely transform your wash station accessories. For this nautical makeover, we’re opting for bold blue stripes bathroom interior design.
What’s even more interesting is that you can achieve stunning results with a simple DIY that doesn’t take up much time. We have your attention, don’t we? Read on to find out how to revamp your accessories that are worthy of being on a Pinterest board!

STEP 1: TAPE IT AROUND
A good masking tape is your best friend for this little project. We’ve used the Asian Paints Trugrip masking tape. Cut a few strips of masking tape and wrap it around your accessories leaving a distance of 1cm between each taped row.
STEP 2: BRING OUT THE PAINT
Now comes the fun part of the project - paint! Keeping the nautical theme in mind, we opted for Asian Paints Luxury Emulsion (200ml sampler) in the shade X142 Nautical Mile. Using a flat brush, paint the white space between the tape. Remember to use accessories with a matte finish and keep all your strokes in one direction to achieve a smooth finish.
STEP 3: SET ASIDE TO DRY
Here’s the part where you need to be patient. Set aside the accessory to dry. It is best to give it a couple of hours to avoid any unwanted smudges of paint!
STEP 4: REMOVE THE TAPE
Carefully remove the tape and we’re sure you’d be surprised how different and delightful your accessory looks now. Neaten up the edges with a thin paint brush and set aside to dry. Bring the whole look together by repeating the steps for all the other bathroom accessories.
