How to Apply SmartCare Damp Proof Advanced?
Step 1: Surface Preparation
- Ensure the surface is strong, clean, and free of dust, grease, and loose paint.
- Remove any bitumen coatings, algae, moss, and loose material thoroughly.
- Fully cure new masonry surfaces for 28 days before application.
- Repair all cracks and fill gaps using Asian Paints SmartCare Crack Seal or polymer-modified cement mortars.
Step 2 (Horizontal Surfaces): Self-Priming
Apply one coat of SmartCare Damp Proof Advanced without dilution as a primer.
Step 2 (Vertical Surfaces): Self-Priming
Use one undiluted coat of SmartCare Damp Proof Advanced as a primer coat.
Step 3 (Horizontal Surfaces): Waterproof Coats
- Apply the first coat of SmartCare Damp Proof Advanced with a brush or roller.
- Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours.
- Follow with a second coat for reinforced waterproofing.
Step 3 (Vertical Surfaces): Waterproof and Decorative Coats
- Apply one coat of SmartCare Damp Proof Advanced followed by a compatible topcoat, such as Apex or Ultima exterior paints.
- Finish by applying a second coat of Apex or Ultima for complete coverage.
