How to Apply WoodTech Emporio PU Palette?
Pre-Painting Steps
Cleaning: Ensure the wood surface is thoroughly cleaned and seasoned. Check moisture levels (10–15%) to avoid defects like popping or poor substrate wetting. Remove dust, oil, and grease completely.
Sanding: Sand the surface along the grain using sandpaper no. 180, then 320 or 400. Wipe clean to remove loose dust particles
Insulating (Optional): Apply 1–2 coats of WoodTech Epoxy Insulator to reduce absorption on veneers, plywood, and MDF
Dent Filling: Fill dents or imperfections using WoodTech Filler, and ensure the surface is even and smooth before proceeding.
Paint Application Process
Step 1: Apply the first coat of WoodTech Emporio PU White Sealer using a spray gun. Mix the sealer base and hardener in a 2:1 ratio. Allow drying for 3–4 hours, then sand with 320/400 grit paper.
Step 2: Repeat the procedure for the second coat of sealer and ensure adequate sanding for a smooth finish.
Step 3: Apply the first coat of WoodTech Emporio PU Palette Matt or Glossy Topcoat (2:1 for matt, 1:1 for glossy). Allow drying for 3–4 hours.
Step 4: Add a second or third topcoat after sanding lightly for optimal finish and protection.
