What is Aquadur Pu?
Asian Paints WoodTech Aquadur PU is a water-based Polyurethane clear coating, which offers an excellent smooth finish and good hardness. It is known for its easy application, low VOC, odourless and quick to dry. What is the Application Process for Asian Paints Aquadur Pu?
Surface Preparation
● Sanding: Sand the wooden surface along the grains using sandpaper no. 180, and then 320 or 400. Wipe the surface to clean off loose dust particles.
● Insulating: Apply 1-2 coats of WoodTech Epoxy Insulator to insulate from oil & resin from the wood, also it reduces the absorption of paint material on the Veneer.
● Dent Filling: If the surface has dents, apply WoodTech Filler with a putty knife over the dented area.
● Staining: To colour, apply WoodTech Wood Stains Interiors or WoodTech Wood Stains Exterior by ragging or spraying. Allow to dry for 30 to 120 minutes.
Mixing & Application
● Thoroughly mix the Aquadur PU components, as an even blend of the resin and hardener.
● Apply the mixed product using a brush, roller, or sprayer.
● Once the final coat is applied, allow the surface to cure fully before use.
