Pre-painting steps

Sand the wooden surface along the grains using sand paper no. 180 and then 320 or 400

To colour apply WoodTech Wood Stains Interiors or WoodTech Wood Stains Exteriors by ragging or spraying. Allow to dry for 30 to 120 minutes

How to Apply WoodTech Aquadur 2K PU Interior?

 

Step 1: Surface Preparation

  • Clean the wooden surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, and other impurities.

  • Ensure the wood’s moisture level is between 10-15%.

Step 2: Sanding

  • Sand the surface along the wood grain with sandpaper no. 180.

  • Follow it up with finer sandpaper (320 or 400) and wipe the dust clean.

Step 3 (Optional): Insulating and Dent Filling

Step 4: Staining (Optional)

To add color, apply WoodTech Wood Stains for Interiors by ragging or spraying. Allow 30-120 minutes to dry.

Step 5: Base Coat Application

Apply WoodTech Aquadur 2K PU Base Coat with a sprayer for a smooth base layer. Allow it to dry and sand lightly before moving to the next step.

Step 6: Finish Coat Application

Apply 1-2 coats of WoodTech Aquadur 2K PU Matt or Gloss Finish. Sand lightly between coats for better adhesion and a flawless finish. Use the wood finish visualiser to preview how different finishes will look on your wooden surfaces before application.

Step 7 (Optional): Additional Coats

For enhanced protection or sheen, apply a third coat after sanding with sandpaper no. 320 or 400.
