How to Apply WoodTech Filler?
Step 1: Cleaning
Ensure the wooden surface is well-seasoned and clear of impurities like dust, oil, or grease.
Keep a moisture level of 10-15% to avoid substrate defects like pinholes and popping.
Step 2: Sanding
Sand along the grain using sandpaper no. 180. Follow up with finer sanding using no. 320 or 400. Clean off dust thoroughly.
Step 3: Filler Application
Apply WoodTech Filler with a putty knife or by ragging to fill grains, nail holes, and dents.
Allow the filler to dry for 2 hours before proceeding.
Step 4: Sanding
Sand the filled surface lightly with sandpaper no. 320 or 400 until smooth, then wipe clean.
Step 5: Final Coating
Apply a sealer coat and topcoat as per standard recommendations to complete the process. Use the wood finish visualiser to explore different finish options before applying your final coat.
