How to Apply WoodTech PU Palette Exterior?
Pre-Painting Steps
Cleaning: Ensure the surface to be coated is properly seasoned (moisture level between 10–15%) and free from dust, grease, or contaminants. Ventilate the application area and ensure the tools are clean and free from moisture.
Sanding: Sand the wooden surface along the grain using sandpaper no. 180, followed by finer grits like 320 or 400. Remove all loose particles and dust for a smooth application.
Insulating (Optional): Apply 1–2 coats of WoodTech Epoxy Insulator to seal any oils or resins in plywood, MDF, or veneer. This step reduces absorption and enhances paint application.
Dent Filling: Fix imperfections on the surface using WoodTech Filler applied with a putty knife. Once dried, sand the area to ensure uniformity before proceeding.

Apply the first coat of WoodTech PU Palette Primer Surfacer (1025) in a 90:10 mixing ratio with the hardener. Use a spray gun for uniform application, and allow 4–5 hours for drying. Sand lightly with 320/400 grit paper.
Apply the second coat of primer following the same process for even coverage. Sand the surface once dry.
For the first topcoat, mix WoodTech PU Palette Exterior Glossy Shade (1023) with the hardener in an 80:20 ratio and spray evenly. Allow it to dry for 12–14 hours.
Apply a second topcoat or additional coats if necessary for complete coverage. Lightly sand between layers to achieve a flawless finish.
