COVID-19

Efforts at Kasna

How we cope with

Crisis

Under the aegis of CSR, Kasna plant management identified vulnerable sections who were hit hard by the lockdown and made necessary arrangements for their welfare.

In association with our NGO partner, Child Survival India (CSI), we have distributed dry ration kits to 150 truck drivers who were stranded at various locations in and around Kasna. This distribution campaign was conducted on 2nd - 3rd April 2020.

Our Contribution

Below mentioned are the sites of our distribution campaign and number of drivers covered:

Asian Paints Parking - 13, Gaushala Parking - 31 , ICD, Dadri- 67 and LG parking - 39

Each ration kit consisted of following items: -

Rice (3 kg) , Flour (5 kg), Sugar (2 kg), Oil (1 lit), Masoor dal (1 kg) , Salt (1 kg), Chilly powder (100 gm), Turmeric (100 gm), Jeera (100 gm) , Tea (200 gm)

It was decided to spend Rs 5 lacs from CSR Budget of FY 2020-21 to support the fight against CoVid-19. In this regard, we had spent Rs. 1 lac to cover additional 125 truck drivers who are identified at different locations, by providing them dry ration kit.

Apart from this, we have also planned to provide aid to elderly people living in nearby villages. In association with HelpAge India, we provided kits (consisting of 4 washing soaps and 2 reusable masks each) to 1500 families living near Kasna. The target audience was mainly the elder population who are more vulnerable to the disease.
