Introduction To Ace Sparc Colours
Asian Paints Ace Sparc Colours is a direct shade for exterior wall application. It is a water based acrylic emulsion suitable for dry to moderately humid climatic conditions.
Why Choose Ace Sparc Colours?
Ace Sparc Colours offers 6 popular and vibrant direct
colour shades to select from.
1. Available Packs
The Ace Sparc Colours is available in 2 types of packs - 1-litre pack and 4-litre pack. You can choose based on the area of your home or site.
2. Save Money in the Long Run
Ace Sparc lasts longer than cement paint and hence proves more economical in the long run. It also does not require curing and therefore saves time, effort and
painting cost during application.
3. Better Performance
Ace Sparc offers excellent resistance to chalking, cracking and weathering in comparison to cement paint. Its modified acrylic binder ensures that paint stays on your wall longer than cement paint.
How to apply Ace Sparc Colours?
Step 1
It involves the optional application of Asian Paints
Trucare Wall Putty (Product Code: 0079) to prepare the surface. It is mixed with water based on the requirement to form a paste and is applied in paste form. Once applied, it requires a 4-hour recoating period before proceeding to the next step.
Step 2
An
exterior wall Primer (Product Code: 0065) is applied using a brush, roller, or spray. The primer is diluted with water, with dilution percentages varying based on the application method—90-110% for brushes and rollers and 40-45% for sprays. The application viscosity differs for each method, with 15-18 seconds for brushes, 33 seconds for rollers, and 40-45 seconds for sprays. Like the wall putty, the primer also requires 4 hours of drying time before moving forward. The application of primer is mandatory to ensure proper adhesion of the paint, and for greater protection, horizontal surfaces like the tops of windows and ledges should be coated with three coats of Ace Sparc.
Step 3
It involves applying the first coat of Ace Sparc Colours Exterior Emulsion (Product Code: 6798), using a brush, roller, or spray. The paint is diluted with water, with a dilution percentage of 75% for brushes and rollers and 75% for sprays. The application viscosity remains between 20-25 seconds for all methods. After application, the first coat requires a 4 to 6-hour recoating period before applying the second coat.
Step 4
The second coat of Ace Sparc Colours Exterior Emulsion (Product Code: 6798) is applied using the same method and dilution as the first coat. The application viscosity and dilution remain consistent at 75% for brushes and sprays, and max 75% for rollers, ensuring a smooth and even finish. Just like the first coat, the second coat requires a 4 to 6-hour drying time. Some shades may require three coats for better hiding and an enhanced finish, depending on the surface and color requirements. The recoating period is based on 25°C temperature and 50% relative humidity, but actual drying times may vary under different environmental conditions.
