How to Apply SmartCare Tile Grout - Epoxy Based
1. Surface Preparation
- Ensure tiles are firmly set, with tile adhesive or mortar completely dry for a minimum of 24 hours.
- Remove spacers, dirt, or loose particles from the joints.
- Conduct a mockup installation to ensure desired results.
2. Preparing the Mix
- Always mix complete units of Part A (Base) and Part B (Hardener). Partial mixing will result in improper curing.
- For a custom shade, mix the desired color in Part A using the Asian Paints DTS machine. Ensure homogeneity.
- Combine Part A (tinted) and Part B in a clean container, mixing thoroughly with a slow-speed stirrer until you achieve a consistent, even-colored mixture.
3. Application
- Firmly press the grout into the joints using a hard rubber squeegee, ensuring the joints are completely filled.
- Remove excess grout by moving the squeegee diagonally across grout lines.
4. Cleaning
- After 20–25 minutes, use a damp rough sponge in circular motions to clean surplus grout.
- Clean the tile surface and grout haze with clean water or a mild soapy solution once the grout is set.
