How to Apply SmartCare Tile Adhesive?

Ensure the existing tiles are firmly adhered to the substrate. Check that the surface is level and that adequate joints are present.
Remove any hollow-sounding tiles and fill the gaps with polymer-modified cement-sand mortar to create a stable foundation.
Clean the tile surface thoroughly with detergent and water to remove dirt, grime, or laitance. Rinse the tiles with clean water to ensure a spotless surface for application.
Mix SmartCare Tile Adhesive with 7–8 liters of potable water for a 30 kg bag until a smooth, lump-free mortar consistency is achieved. Use a slow-speed stirrer if required for a uniform mix.
Apply the adhesive to the desired surface at a thickness of 3–6 mm using a trowel. Comb through the adhesive evenly with a notched trowel, keeping the working area to no more than 1 square meter at a time.
Press the new tiles firmly into position with a slight sliding motion. This ensures maximum contact between the adhesive and tile surface for a secure bond.
Use spacers to leave adequate and consistent joints between tiles during installation.
Clean off any excess adhesive from the joints and tile surfaces with a damp cloth immediately after placement.
After the adhesive sets (approximately 24 hours), fill the tile joints with Asian Paints cement-based tile grout or epoxy-based tile grout for a polished and durable finish.
