what is the application procedure for tractor synthetic distemper?

1) Firstly, you need to sand the surface with Emery Paper 180 and wipe clean the surface.

2) Apply Asian Paints Decoprime Wall Primer, by using a brush or spray. If you are using a brush, dilute 80 - 100 ml. of Mineral Turpentine Oil or water. If you are using a spray dilute 150 - 200 ml. of Mineral Turpentine Oil or water. Allow it to dry for 6 - 8 hours.

3) Apply Asian Paints Wall Putty with a putty knife and add water as required to make a paste. Allow it to dry for 4 - 6 hours.

4) Sand the surface with Emery Paper 180 and wipe it clean.

5) Apply two coats of Asian Paints Decoprime Wall Primer and add 80 - 100 ml. of Mineral Turpentine Oil, if you are using a brush. If you are using a spray dilute 150 - 200 ml. of Mineral Turpentine Oil. Let it dry for 6 - 8 hours.

6) Sand the surface with Emery Paper 320 and wipe it clean.

7) Apply one coat of Asian Paints Tractor Synthetic Distemper. If you are using a brush or roller dilute 550 - 600 ml. of water, and if you are using a spray, dilute 500 - 550 ml of water. Let it dry for 3 -4 hours.

8) Now, apply two coats of Asian Paints Tractor Synthetic Distemper. If you are using a brush or roller dilute 550 - 600 ml. of water, and if you are using a spray, dilute 500 - 550 ml of water. Let it dry for 3 -4 hours.

can distempers be washed?

They can be cleaned with a white wet cloth.

in what quantities is the product available?

Tractor Synthetic Distemper is available in packs of 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg.

are there any precautions to be taken?

Here are a few points to note:

1) Avoid eye and skin contact.

2) Do not inhale or inject the distemper directly. In case of inhalation move to a fresh environment and seek medical attention.

3) While handling the paint, use protective equipment like rubber/polythene gloves, goggles, face mask, etc.

should we use tractor synthetic distemper on new walls?

No, we don't recommend Tractor Synthetic Distemper on new walls because new walls generally have a high level of alkalinity and therefore no oil based paints are recommended.

are there any post application instructions for tractor acrylic distemper?

Yes, for removing stains, sponge the surface clean with a mild soap solution and wipe it clean. Ensure a drying time of two weeks from application before cleaning.

No, we don't recommend using distemper as a putty. It is used as a topcoat but we don't recommend using it as an undercoat.
