Give Your Walls A Half-And-Half Makeover

Mumbai posted on

Decisions, decisions! Life is full of them and we are sure you would resonate with this feeling if you are re-doing your bathroom decor. Wallpapers are a great way to bring sophistication to your walls but then again, paint is easier to select and apply. What if we said that you could have the best of both worlds and make a statement?

Give your walls the half-and-half makeover with paint, as well as wallpaper. Yes, you heard that right! Read on to find out how this combination can breathe new life into your walls and give your bathroom a nautical vibe.

Step 1: Install A Dado Rail

A dado rail, also known as a chair rail, is a type of moulding which is fixed horizontally to a wall around the perimeter to create dimension and of course, add the old-world charm you crave! Ensure that your dado rail is not installed too high or too low - 3 feet above the ground works perfectly for this bathroom!

Step 2: The Wallpaper

Nothing screams nautical more than classic combination of blue, white and stripes! We brought it all together with this fun wallpaper. Pro tip: vertical stripes would make a room with a low ceiling look taller!

Step 3: Choose Your Colour!

In order to tie the half-and-half wall together, ensure that the hue you choose perfectly balances the wallpaper. For our nautical-themed bathroom makeover, we opted for Asian Paints Sleigh Bells #8295 that is the perfect neutral against the blue and white wallpaper.

Step 4: Shiny New Paint!

Paint the bottom half of the wall and there you have it - a beautiful nautical wall that serves as the perfect backdrop in the bathroom of your dreams!

Bring it all together with the perfect vanity, easy DIY storage and more! Stay tuned to Live Stylishly by Asian Paints as we take you on a journey to transform your home!
