Engineered Wood

The panels don't have a beauty of their own and are most likely to be covered by opaque wood coatings: we call it COLOUR-ON-WOOD. All forms of processed wood panels like MDF, HDF, Plywood, Particle Boards and alike are engineered wood.

How to preserve wood

Oil whenever the wood feels dry. There are many suitable oils available.

Rub the oil in slowly and wipe off excess oil.

Clean off dust and dirt. Vacuum the wood to eliminate the dust and debris from sanding.

Use decay resistant or pressure-treated lumber for decks.

Apply more coats with sanding in between. At least two or three coats of oil are recommended for long-term preservation.

The more preservatives penetrate the wood texture the higher efficiency of preservation it is.
